BackgroundThe town of Albacete is steeped in Spanish motorcycling history. In the 60's, 70's and 80's Spanish Championship rounds were held at the original urban circuit of Abelardo Sanchez Gardens. With the help of great riders such as Ricardo Tormo (Valencia had similar contribution from Ricardo) a permanent racetrack was designed and constructed on the outskirts of the town. Opened on July 15th 1990 Circuito Albacete has hosted many National and World Championships including the World Superbike series from 1992 until 2000. This year hosting the 6hour Endurance GP.
LocationThe town of Albacete is approximately 100 miles North West of Alicante and approximately 110 miles South West of Valencia.
